I picked up a Nokia E65 today. On 3.

The main reason I went with that model was the inclusion of Wi-Fi, otherwise I may have chosen the 6110 Navigator. However, I did see a very sexy Sony-Ericsson as well.

I never expected to have as much trouble installing a game as the old DOS himem.sys issues of old, however, Bioshock has proven to be just as troublesome.

The problem is with it's securerom and auto patcher piracy protection shit. It seems they don't give you an executable with the DVD, you have to download it, and also activate your game. Plus, you can't install the game again.... or some bullshit. It's a fucking crap system that as best as I can tell, only effects annoys the shit out of those of us who actually bought the game. Very poor.

However, after spending 2 hours trying to install it. The game itself seems very good.

Over the last couple of weeks I've returned to playing a number of games.

Serious Sam 2

Definitely pretty, though missing some of the newer effects in more modern games, however, it's repetitive nature means it's unlikely I will want to finish it.

F.E.A.R.

Another fine graphical showcase, although a bit bland and similar. Actually, the entire game was quite similar, not a hell of a lot of variety, but it obviously had enough in it to keep me playing to the end. The nuclear explosion was very well done.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

What is it with games and acronyms? Anyway, I haven't played this much, and it seems a bit harder than F.E.A.R., but it has a great atmosphere and looks like it will be an enjoyable time waster.

Bioshock

Oh yes, the big daddy of them all. I've been waiting for this for ages, finally buying it today (nice case) and I can't install it. I need a new power supply for my computer so that I can run the CD drive. I suppose I could unplug my video card, plug in the CD drive, install the game, patch the game so that it doesn't require the DVD, unplug the CD drive and then plug the new video card back in, but that seems a little bit annoying, not to mention the fact that I need to put in a new power supply regardless.

At least S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will keep me going for a while.

I noticed yesterday as I went to download the 213 MB patch for C&C 3, that C&C Gold has been released free from the EA website.

I addition to that, Ubisoft has released ad-supported free versions of Farcray, Prince of Persia and a few others.
